Teaching

After years of training, performing and studying, Christopher and Lauren have established their own unique approach to partnering, teaching, and storytelling. They believe the classroom is first and foremost a place to learn. They strive to create an environment where it is safe to fall, fail, take on new challenges, and ultimately succeed and grow.

Partnering is at the core of what they teach. They believe dance partnering is one of the truest representations of shared human experience. It blurs the lines between leader and follower, and it physicalizes honest conversation between people. Through their class dancers begin to develop a mutual, nonverbal language through movement, sensitivity, trust, and play. When these things align, magic happens. Christopher and Lauren teach in NYC at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance Capezio Center.
